Job description
MAIN ACTIVITIES :
Review and approve contents of CONTRACTOR Quality Control and Inspection procedures including Inspection and Test Plans ITP(s)
Ensure that all equipment/plant arriving at site is in “as shipped condition” and in good working order
Attend and approve CONTRACTOR qualification tests (WPQR, WQT, NDT etc)
Supervise and co-ordinate COMPANY Hold/ Monitor/Witness /Review inspection activities
Work with Site Project Manager and Project Head of Quality to resolve all quality issues on site.
Monitor and communicate adequately to Project Head of Quality all non-conformities on site and subsequent corrective actions.
Coordinate pre-mobilization checks of construction Equipment as per Site rules and maintain up to date register of construction equipments.
Ensure accurate reporting of all Quality Control activities within Company project organization.
Follow site safety rules, practices and assist site team in promoting a culture of safety on the site.
Assist the Project Head of Quality in the Preparation of COMPANY final dossier for hand over to the Operations Group
OTHER ACTIVITIES :
Attend project meetings as required
Liaise with other disciplines for Quality Control and Inspection matters on site
Evaluate EPCSS Contractor Quality Control team performance on site and report same to Project Head of Quality and Site Project Manager, from time to time
Job requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND
Minimum of 10 years experience in Oil & Gas Plant construction or upgrade operations, with 5 years either as a QC team leader or Head of QC on Oil & Gas plant construction
Qualifications in welding inspection, coating, painting, UT, MPI and DP will be considered a plus.
Significant and proven experience as a Team leader specifically in QC Management is desired.
Extensive experience of piping, welding, hydrostatic testing and pre- commissioning processes required.
Good knowledge of Instrumentation, electrical, mechanical and rotating equipment required.
