We seek qualified candidates for the position of Consultant, Proposal Writing & Development Services. Work remotely.
Position Responsibilities:

FHI is currently seeking candidates for short-term Proposal Development Consultancies. Individuals should demonstrate experience developing and submitting winning proposals for contracts and/or grants, particularly in the areas of: HIV/AIDS,TB and other infectious diseases, family planning, malaria, capacity building, and other sectors of development. Applicants should be familiar with the process of responding to a Request for Applications (RFA) and Request for Proposals (RFP) solicited by U.S. government entities such as the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and/or experience developing other non-U.S. government proposals.At least three years of experience working with international programs related to one or more of the sectors outlined above. The candidate should have experience developing winning technical proposals in response to USG (preferably USAID) or other funding solicitations. S/he should possess a clear understanding of best practices, evidence-based designs, and innovations in the field that will lead to successful proposal designs. The candidate should have first-hand experience writing technical proposals and technical knowledge of the field of interest.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred in MPH, MA in International Development, Journalism, Public Administration, or another relevant field). Minimum of three years working in international development for an agency that received USG or USAID funding (such as nonprofits, government bodies, etc.) or for the USG. Ability to design and write winning technical programs responding to grant solicitations in a limited amount of time. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Demonstrated technical expertise. Strong writing skills. Computer literate in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Some international travel, and travel to Arlington, VA and Durham, NC required.
