Role Summary/Purpose: In this role, we are looking for Area Parts Manager who will be responsible for the complete Parts & Repairs portfolio (ITR) for the Power Generation Services.
Essential Responsibilities
-Primary point of contact for Power Generation Customers regarding Power Generation Services - Parts Sales & Repairs ITR (Inquiry to Remittance) process
- Being able to conduct Policy 5.0 reviews process within Compass tool
-Lead parts sales together with the related ES Sales Managers in assigned area
-Expand and manage relationship with customers and ITP (at all levels).
-Help to grow turbine parts sales business. Participate to develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives and metrics.
-Work with customers Power Plant team for preparation of outages and required parts
-Take lead and ownership on customer issue resolutions related to parts (shipment issues, wrong material, warranties, receivables).
-Customer Advocate: Represent customer within GE to ensure customer requirements are met/exceeded and all transactions are processed in timely, accurate and professional manner.
-Ownership of preparing and submission of turbine parts proposals to customers and support on pre & post order activities up to remittance.
-Ability to apprehend drawings & understand technical aspects i.e. Metallurgy & materials, uprates and value parts.
-Visit customers to understand their needs and develop strategies to support their parts requirements.
-Work as a local customer team for parts & repairs, internally aligned & directly connected with people (Sales Mgrs, TA’s, Service Mgrs, QA’s, OA’s, shop personnel, etc.), processes (quoting, fulfilling, reporting, etc.) and systems/docs (Parts ERP&EDW, Parts Edge, COPICS, DART, PAC, inspection reports, TIL’s, FMI’s, DCI’s, O&M manuals)
- Should support turbine parts repairs and outages proposals as part of current arrangement
-Support LEAN activities to improve parts fulfillment for both ITO and OTR processes
Performance metrics including
Orders, Sales, and Margin $
- Price enhancement.
- Compliance with Policy 5.0.
- Proposal metrics.
Qualifications/Requirements:
-4 years college degree (Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience
-Proficiency in handling software including Microsoft Office & Oracle based applications
-Strong commercial back ground and knowledge of INCOTERMS, export/import regulations in Gulf Region
-Excellent communication skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
-Self starter, capable of working with minimum supervision
-Strong, passionate supporter of customer service
Desired Characteristics
-Customer service & commercial experience
-Turbine and Power Plant knowledge
-Technical degree and familiarity with Energy Industry
-Six Sigma trained and certified Green/Black Belt (for GE Employees only)
-Proficiency in Oracle OSBC & ERP
-Fluency in Arabic will be an advantage.
