Job Description:
•Ensure regular drive testing, testing of newly integrated 3G, WiFi and WiMAX sites and improvement of key KPIs - congestion, call drops, paging, IRAT handover, call setup success, etc.
•Monitor network performance and configuration to ensure conformance with KPIs for the region
•Support the Data Network Planning process by providing field sensitive feedback on the Data network’s current performance & operating quality conditions.
•Ensure radio Data network quality and performance consistently achieves the KPIs and quality targets as defined in NWG Annual Operating Plan
•Ensure radio data Core dimensioning and design
•Implement and monitor processes and procedures to ensure conformance to best practices and to identify opportunities for improvements
•Ensure adequate, proactive monitoring, analysis and tuning of the network
•Review and report consistently on regional access data network optimization trends, performance issues and root causes
•Maintain accurate and thorough Knowledge of the network
•Maintain at all times a detailed knowledge of the behavior and status of all sites in the region of responsibility; which includes:
oNominal plan from Coverage Steering Group/Marketing
oPlanned sites
oBuild configuration and status
oTraffic levels
oGoS (Congestions stats)
•Provide specialist technical support to all other department regarding the performance of the data network
Job Conditions: General MTN N working conditions. National traveling into various remote areas within the specified region. Extended work hours maybe required
Reporting To: Team Lead RF Optimization
Required Skills:
•At least 4 years work experience comprising:
•2-3 years radio frequency experience with a GSM or Wireless Telecomm operator
•Experience of working on a multivendor network
•Experience with Ericsson and Huawei equipment will be an advantage
