Overview:
Since 2002, the Clinton Health Access Initiative, CHAI (formerly the Clinton HIV/AIDS Initiative), has been assisting developing countries in implementing large-scale, integrated HIV care, treatment, and prevention programs. CHAI is currently active in Africa, the Caribbean, Asia, and Eastern Europe.
CHAI will apply the techniques it has used successfully to improve access to HIV/AIDS and malaria treatment in developing countries to essential vaccines. By scaling up the coverage of vaccines in developing countries to 90 percent - including the new vaccines for pentavalent and pneumococcal pneumonia - the lives of 7.6 million children could be saved over the next decade.
CHAI Nigeria is currently seeking a Vaccine Program Analyst to accelerate the introduction and uptake of life-saving pentavalent and pneumococcal vaccines. Nigeria is one of the focus countries where CHAI has worked closely with the Ministry of Health (MOH) to roll-out HIV/AIDS and health systems strengthening programs in recent years. As part of this initiative, CHAI will support the MOH to effectively plan, execute and evaluate the introduction of the new vaccines.

Responsibilities:
Support the MOH in critical areas related to vaccine introduction such as cold chain chain strengthening and monitoring and evaluation
Contribute to the analysis and design of CHAI's vaccine strategy in Nigeria and globally and supporting the mobilization and management of financial resources to implement that strategy
Conduct robust analysis of vaccine systems and consulting with key individuals and organizations to identify high-impact activities for CHAI to pursue to support vaccine introduction in Nigeria
Plan and execute an ambitious program of activities to support the national vaccine introduction, including upgrading of cold chains and training of health workers
Ensure the robust design and implementation of evaluation methodologies and the translation of findings into appropriate changes in policy and practice
Develop and test tools that can assist Nigeria in planning and executing introduction of new vaccines
Support Nigeria in identifying gaps in national plans to introduce new vaccines and rapidly pursue appropriate steps to address them
Any other responsibilities as assigned by the Country Director

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Exceptional problem solving skills and analytical capabilities
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships in a challenging multicultural environment - international experience required
Ability to multi-task and to be effective in high-pressure situations
Ability to operate independently, setting an achieving ambitious targets with limited guidance
2+ years of working experience in the private or public sector, with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership
High levels of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet applications
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
Those with management consulting backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply
