Job Objectives
To ensure that IT & IS functions provide the support required to enable the business achieve its corporate business strategy.
To advise on Information Management Systems & Technology strategies & policies
Job Description
1.
To manage the LAN / WAN / Internet links in conjunction with the company’s service providers and ensure efficient administration of the terminal (including the terminal server) services for remote connections.
2.
To provide efficient end-user support / administration (including hardware/software installation and updating) and ensure security functions are in place e.g. UPS, access privileges
3.
To ensure efficient management of project/work resource , (Human & material ) allocation cost savings capability (about or below budget).
4.
To develop and maintain IT customer service management standards in line with global best practice
5.
To document network drawings/diagrams (Using Visio) and efficiently manage OLA & SLA related network reports
Skills / Competencies Required
Network and terminal server administration and security, software and hardware installation
Enterprise resource, e-mail and lotus notes management,
Expertise in advanced disaster recovery , continuity, fail safe solutions
End-user support and administration and remote access management
Expertise in Structured Cabling Design and Installation
Project implementation
Supervisory Management
Oracle and SQL Database
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
Experience
Minimum of 8 years experience as IT Network Administrator. Additional experience in Technical Support and in project based assignments will be an advantage
Qualification
Minimum of B.Sc/HND in Information Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant disciplines
Relevant Professional certification e.g. CCNA, CNE, CLA, ITS Managers’ Module, Network certification, MCSE
