Overview:
The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) recently reached a strategic decision to apply the techniques it has used successfully to improve access to HIV/AIDS and malaria treatment in developing countries to other priority areas of global health. Examples of CHAI’s impact to date include reducing the price of AIDS medicines by 50%, transforming the global approach to pediatric AIDS to ensure that children are no longer falling behind adults in treatment scale-up, and dramatically increasing access to and affordability of the most effective malaria medicines through a new global initiative. Further detail on CHAI’s work and impact can be found at:

Working with the governments of high-burden countries and leading global institutions such as UNICEF, CHAI will support intensified efforts at both global and country levels to plan, resource, and implement effective interventions for scaling-up these products.
