Job description
a) Description of the SERVICE:
- The SERVICE consists of supervising the execution of engineering, procurement, erection and commissioning for activities related rotating machinery equipment for all PSF package.
Especially:
1. To follow-up Engineer’s activities related to Rotating Machinery (MEC) and ensure compliance with COMPANY/Project specifications and with the requirements of the project documentation.
2. To manage technical evaluation of the bids and prepare technical recommendation with Head of Engineering.
3. To follow-up procurement, construction, expediting, FAT for his discipline.
4. To track and follow up CONTRACTOR’s activities in his/her discipline and ensure compliance with Project Specifications Codes and Standards.
5. To ensure that scope of work is fulfilled in his/her discipline. This includes ensuring that TDO/TEC/MTH Group Leader is kept informed of the main decisions and liaise with the department to ensure that Group policies are applied.
6. Ensure close coordination between Structural Engineer for interfacing of equipment supports support design.
7. To review and comment on CONTRACTOR documents in due time and as expected as predetermined in the Contractual requirement.
8. To report to COMPANY Head of Engineering on progress of his/her activity on an ad hoc or regularly and minimum weekly basis.
9. To anticipate problems in his/her discipline and inform COMPANY Head of Engineering.
10. To highlight and report any deficiencies or changes to the Contractual scope of the basis of design.
Management is to be immediately informed regarding any deviation, risk or concerns related on HSE,
technical, planning or cost issues.
11. To review and analyze planning updates including critical path for discipline related activities; review and approve progress for discipline related activities, and coordinate with COMPANY Head of Engineering.
12. To ensure that CONTRACTOR resources and organisation are adequate and competent for achieving the discipline engineering and procurement works.
13. To prepare responses to all technical requested from CONTRACTOR and Project with the aim to add value by minimising costs without sacrificing safety or the level of quality. This includes offering solutions and informing the Head of Engineering.
14. To provide detailed assistance to COMPANY Head of Engineering on derogations, exemption or modification requests.
15. To undertake technical evaluation of Change Order Requests for the parts related to the discipline.

16. To participate in all audit activities (HSE, PTRs, HAZOPS…).
17. To follow-up MIE, procurement, construction, expediting, FAT and assist in pre-commissioning for discipline related activities.
18. Ensures compliances with storage, preservation and protection requirements of rotating machinery equipments at package vendor facilities and at site.
19. To ensure adequate workload sharing with discipline engineering, and to ensure that discipline Engineering benefits from his assignment on Project. Also, to be available to provide discipline added value point of view to other Project activities than for engineering (e.g. QA/QC activities, precom/com, start-up, O&Ms…)
20. To participate and propose solution in interfaces resolution between Contractors for all MEC matters.
21. To perform coordination of mechanical vendors and LLI items.
Job requirements
The execution of the SERVICE requires experienced specialists fluent in English and with a knowledge of French.
