Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a leading international Oil&Gas Company to recruit a Chief Accountant.
Job description
The Chief Accountant is to assist the Financial and Administrative Manager in the preparation of accounts, creation of reports, documentation for payroll, audit and tax purposes. He will be responsible for accurate book keeping, preparation of records analysis, projects performance analysis and various other documents.
He will report to the Financial and Administrative Manager.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the accurate daily records of accounts transactions
Ensure compliance with Company’s accounts and administration procedures
Prepare and control the bank movements and reconciliation;
Prepare financial documents on the request of the F&A Manager;
Analyse revenue and expenditure trends
Prepare monthly PAYROLL and the TAXES / DUTIES dues to the different administrations
Support the project managers by preparing invoices for onward submission to the customer
Assist in the preparation of analysis and reports of financial statements
Assist in the budgetary and accounting process / policies
Deputize for the Financial & Administrative Manager when the need arises
Qualifications et experience
Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant of over 5 years.
Must have a B.Sc in Accounting from a reputable institution
Proven work experience, expertise in accounting and financial management.
Must have a minimum of 7 years experience of which 3 years should be in a similar position
Must have advanced skills in accounting & taxation.
Sound knowledge of Nigerian GAAP, IFRS, / Nigerian Governmental Regulations,.
Must be computer literate and versatile in the use of accounting packages
Good inter-personal relationship skill
Excellent in problem solving, analytical and administrative skills
Ability to work in multicultural environment and under pressure
