Job details
Prime International are seeking the services of an experienced offshore Cargo Superintendent, who must have a Master Mariners unlimted certificate.
You will have worked as a Superintendent for at least three years, within the FPSO industry.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Hold Class 1 STCW 95 (Master Mariner-Unrestricted).
- Valid Dangerous Cargo Endorsement (Petroelum) attached to the Certificate.
- Extensive Sea service on tankers to the rank of at least Chief Officer.
- Fluent in English.
TYPICAL MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Cargo Superintendent is in charge of all oil and ballast movements on the unit, including transfers of oil and water from tanks and the discharge of washing water.
- He implements a programme of frequent crude oil washing of cargo tanks.
- He ensures that the Unit permissable shear forces and bending moments are not exceeded.
- He ensures that water discharges overboard from the sloptank do not exceed contractual and statutory limts.
He maintains the Oil Record Book in accordance with MARPOL regulations.
- He is responsible for the structural and cosmetic fabric
