Adexen is looking for a head of sales for one of its industrial clients.


Job description
The Head of Sales will lead the development of the food industry part of this Group nationwide.
He will be in charge of managing the sales & distribution network..
Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this office shall include but is not limited to the following:
Implement the Company's Business development processes
Responsible to grow all sales volumes for the entire product portfolio
Implementation of distribution network model
Organize and manage distribution & sales channel across the country
Institute plans and strategies regarding organization of the sales team
Recruitment of a large sales force team nationwide
Train and evaluate the sales team
Set target for the Sales team
Implementation of all required reporting processes
Institute plans and strategies to gain new customers while retaining the existing ones
Increase and maintain customer intimacy through strategic, tactical and operational customer relationship management based on a clear understanding of customer’s needs, vision and strategy
Provide detailed updates and forecasts on changes in client and competitor status and activity to ensure that business opportunities are fully exploited
Achieve maximum profitability and growth in line with company goals

Qualifications et experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following attributes:
Master in Sales & Marketing or any related discipline
MBA will be an added advantage
Demonstrated experience in sales, marketing, business development
Previous experience in a similar position within an international FMCG group
At least 5 years experience in Africa / Nigeria is required
Proven planning and analytical capabilities
Responsible for building training capabilities functions of the sales force
Experience with modern and traditional trade management
Solid distributorship management
Sales result oriented
Strong leader who can inspire and command respect
Ability to work in multicultural environment and under pressure.
Excellent communication skills - Oral & Written
Good interpersonal skills and corporate presentation.
