Job Description: 
The Senior Manager for Healthcare for the Alliance for a Healthier Generation will be an integral member of the Industry Team working with industry, nonprofit and NGO representatives to facilitate clinical solutions for the prevention, assessment and treatment of childhood obesity. The Senior Manager will be responsible both for outreach efforts for the Alliance Healthcare Initiative as well as coordinating implementation efforts which will include developing consumer and provider outreach and education efforts.
This position must have in-depth experience of the healthcare field particularly as it relates to childhood obesity, benefits design, implementing new healthcare programs and provider and consumer health education. The Senior Manager will help develop programs for family and provider outreach and will compile a resource library for signatory organizations. The Senior Manager will also participate in evaluation and recruitment activities. This position reports to the Alliance's Industry Director.
It is the goal of the Alliance to fill employment vacancies with the most qualified applicants, whether recruiting internally or externally. Duties:
Recruit health insurers, employers and associations to join the Alliance Healthcare Initiative, and develop recruitment materials as needed.
Provide day-to-day support for multiple health insurers and employers to support their successful implementation of the Healthcare MOU.
Facilitate partnerships with medical associations, nonprofits and Alliance founding organizations to lead the development of consumer and healthcare provider education materials.
Lead cross-organizational collaborations with national medical associations, insurers, employers, and healthcare clinician experts to develop clinical support tools for clinicians.
Oversee academic, external evaluation team responsible for evaluating the Alliance Healthcare Initiative, providing project management of evaluation as well as feedback on study design and process.
Manage all legal review processes related to insurers, employers, associations and evaluators, including MOUs and data sharing agreements.
Review all current and future government legislations and mandates that may impact work with Industry. Lead efforts to establish best practices for consumer awareness and utilization of health benefits related to the Alliance Healthcare Initiative.
Manage online tools and resources for signatory organizations, including a dedicated intranet site and custom online marketing forms and databases.

Experience:
The successful candidate should have knowledge of the healthcare industry, childhood obesity, technology, and program development. Competencies:
Expertise in health policy, and program development
Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, analytical, and flexible, willing to roll-up his/her sleeves to do whatever is necessary to get the job done
Mature, displays good judgment and able to work independently
High degree of professionalism, organization, creativity and integrity
Experience in public health intervention research and evaluations; background in clinical evaluation methodologies preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience managing custom online resources and tools, including intranet sites and forms
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Demonstrates a genuine interest and commitment to making kids lifestyle healthier
Demonstrate sensitivity, diplomacy and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety representatives from diverse stakeholders
Demonstrates effective project management skills for complex, multi-party endeavors
Bachelors degree required; masters degree in public policy, public health or in business administration preferred
