Job Title: Trade Partner Support Manager

Location: Lagos
Job Description:
•Evaluate and review new applications for purposes of credit allocation
•Resolve all Business incidents (potential and actual) that might expose the company to any loss arising from the credit process and initiate appropriate action/decision.
•Manage Distributor Accounts sub ledger to ensure completeness, accuracy and correctness and deal with all inquiries relating thereto
•Manage and review all periodic (weekly/monthly/ad hoc) reports (management/operational) for the unit as shall be required.
•Manage the Credit Review process to ensure optimal credit allocations/ reallocation in line with credit PPPs and Credit Committee mandate
•Liaise with and communicate to all relevant parties (internal and external) all issues relating to MTN credit management policies and changes thereto
•Drive and implement new credit initiatives in line with market dictates to achieve S&D sales targets and enhance competitive advantage
•Review, update and implement PPPs on Credit/Banking SLAs
•Manage Distributor Commissions to achieve timeliness and accuracy of payment and review the reconciliation of all distributors’ accounts to ensure accounts balances reflect the true position of their transactions with MTNN
•Manage the resolution of distributor queries and complaints relating to credit applications, account balances and commission payments
•Manage and implement changes in credit management and ensure the Distributor community is adequately informed at all times of such changes
•Co-ordinate, schedule and participate in team/departmental/divisional meetings and activities as required
•Draw up and review performance contracts for all staff in the Unit in line with Divisional objectives ensure annual performance appraisal is performed on a timely basis
•Manage Banking relationship with all MTN collection banks to ensure strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
•Manage and ensure a timely processing and release of all distributor orders (credit & cash) to achieve zero cash loss.
•Review agreed activity and performance reports for Management reporting to ensure relevance, accuracy and timeliness
•Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager- Financial Operations Ensure that credit terms are properly set up on the system (by the Systems Accountant) in strict compliance with the approval and that all requirements are met before approved credit becomes operational
•Initiate, coordinate and manage delinquent account collection
•Monitor, evaluate and review distributor credit performance periodically in line with company growth objectives
•Integrate with Account Management to ensure high level of customer satisfaction index
•Manage distributor commissions including Corporate Accounts commissions and other customer incentives
•Manages the distributor communication process ensuring correct and effective communication and the discharging and archiving of all correspondences and documents
Job Conditions: Standard MTN working conditions May work extended hours
Reporting To: Senior Manager Sales Support and Financial Control
Required Skills:
•8 years working experience in a commercial environment
•Bank reconciliation experience
Employment Status : Permanent
Qualification:
A good First degree or equivalent in a Social Science course or any other relevant discipline Professional qualifications such as ACCA or ICAN (ACA). Postgraduate qualification such as Master of Business Administration (MBA) would be an added advantage
