Position Description:

Job Purpose
To effectively support Global Market Operations functions on Fixed Income Securities transactions with the purpose of providing quality level of operational service in support of Global Market and other business and functional units within Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc.


KRAs
Customer Satisfaction
Timely attendance to customers’ queries via phone calls, e-mails and Swift messages at all times.
Daily submission of interbank Bond trade to CSCS.
Timely confirmation of deals to customers.
Timely process of customers transactions
Ensure timely settlement of transactions.
Excellent customer service delivery at all times.
Training and Development
Self development through on-the-job training.
Cross functional training and job rotation.
Participation in departmental training, workshops, conferences and seminars.
Reading of departmental manuals and GRG.
Financial Management
Ensure timely settlement of transactions to avoid interest claims.
Timely recognition of income and charges.
Prevention of income leakage through timely and correct postings.
Ensure proper use of stationery within the department.
Internal Business Process
Ensure deals are done within approved limits.
Proper registration of all deal tickets.
Ensure compliance with controls and procedures
Ensure our account CBN is reconciled daily and outstanding items queried.
Weekly reconciliation of
Ensure correct booking of transactions on the banking application.
Timely reconciliation and query of outstanding items.
Ensure the integrity of data processed
Zero defect in processing
Ensure correct and timely capture of all entries and messages.
Ensure proper house and record keeping.
Change Agent Role
Ensure good follow up on projects and strategies planned in the department.
Ensure good adaptation to structural changes in the unit.
Continuous improvement in our processes.
Ensure full service and total support to other business units.

Key performance measures
Constant feedback to team leader Fixed Income Securities and head GMO
Quality assurance level of operational service provided to Customer and business units.
Ensure the execution of checklists and action plans are carried out in the correct manner and within specified time frames.
Contribute innovatively & Support the business strategic objectives.
Continuous improvement on desk functions
Ensure systems and processes are appropriate.
Improve operational integrity.
