General Purpose
Strategic Sales Professional within business/product area responsible for generating and closing new business opportunities. Develops new business within a given region/customer, utilizing new business models where needed. Leads business development strategy creation for the territory.¤ Jobs eligible for Nokia sales incentive compensation plans (not STIP) have to meet all of the following elements: ¤ 1.Sales person (individual/manager) with accountability and responsibility for one or more of the following: customer orders, revenue, sell-out, sell-through .¤ 2.Sales person (individual/manager) with responsibility for persuading a customer to buy .¤ 3.Primary focus of the role on the persuasion phase of the sales process (sell-in and/or sell-out) .¤ 4.Requires consistent customer focus and contact .¤ 5.Quantitative measures of success are defined and available.¤
Main Responsibility Area
Identifies new business opportunities and is responsible and accountable for generating new deals and sales revenue either within completely new prospects/markets or existing accounts solely targeting new revenue streams. Manages Win team for new customer entries, is responsible for entry strategy creation, and manages related sales, marketing, customer relationship and implementation follow-up activities. Applies all internal practices and processes for creating the required account set- up. When justified by the business volume, makes a hand-over of the account responsibility to the nominated account head.
Position Description
- Key focus on West Africa and Wireless Broadband
- Establishing & Maintaining of key customer relationships and activities that lead to deal closing
- Managing internal interfaces - SSM, BU's, Marketing & Business units
- Compliance to company salkes processes, including the associated tools eg. Sales Workflow Tool.
- Responsibility stops with successful contract negotiations

Position Requirements
- Strong 'hunting' capability
- Solid track record of successful sales and Business Development engagements with Large Telco's
- Solid track record of sales case closing and Cxx level relationship management
- Solution Building & consultative Selling skills
- Business & Industry Insights
- Financial understanding
- Strong Technical understanding
