Job Title:Freight Supervisor
Department:Capital Programs Group
Location:Lagos
Job Conditions: Normal MTN working conditions. Extra hours may be required
Reporting To: Shipping & Distribution Manager

Job Description:
•Plan for the reception of freight.
•Follow up with Suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure adequate documentation to facilitate clearance and receipts of goods
•Inspect the pre alert received from supplier for completeness
•Maintain a log of all pre alert received and ensure completeness of all documentation
•Compute and monitor custom duty payment request
•Follow up with Finance operation on custom duty payments and ensure necessary documents are signed/authorized
•Follow up with scanning companies on issuance of RAR
•Investigate/follow up delay document perfection
•Produce monthly reports and maintain the knowledge repository.
•Liaise with, in conjunction with procurement, the suppliers to ensure the timely availability of goods for inspection and shipment
•Keep abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and incorporate into MTN in-bound logistics procedures
•Generate and circulate daily clearance update
Required Skills:
•Minimum four years experience in shipping/import/export environment
Employment Status :Permanent
Qualification:
A tertiary qualification Preferably in Social Sciences
