Chevron Global Upstream and Gas is accepting online applications for the position of Automation and Process Control Reliability Engineer located on the Agbami FPSO, offshore Nigeria through July 4, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. (EST).
The Agbami FPSO control system has a complex architecture with controls systems from various vendors. The control systems includes Yokogawa, ICS triplex, RSLogix, Woodward, Autronica, and Rockwell PMS systems. These systems are all interfefaced to each other for complete control of the safety and process systems onboard the FPSO. The FPSO is an integrated oil and gas production facility and maintenance functions span crude oil production, crude oil storage and export, gas gathering, sepration, compression, and reinjection, sea water lift, conditioning, and reinjection, advanced power management system that includes both low and high voltage systems and power genration.
Position Details:
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Responsible to achieve the reliability and availability goals set for the facilities
Coordination of major hardware replacements and upgrades for all equipment that have control system contents promotes Surface Equipment Reliability Integrity Process ( SERIP), Organizational Excellence (OE) and Reliability processes throughout the Deep Water O&M Group
Advocate for OE and a Zero Incident culture
Reinforces use of the Operational Excellence (OE) Management System
Compliance with all Company safety policies, Safe Operating Procedures (SOP's)
Reinforces correct behaviors regarding OE Tenets, Chevron Way and employee participation in Chevron Nigeria Ltd.'s (CNL’s) Behavior Based Safety Program - icare (Creating Awareness Reduces Exposure)

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Minimum of 5 years experience working on complex control systems in Upstream operations, 3 of which must be in off shore operations
FPSO operations experience required
Experience in commissioning of FPSO instrumentation, power generation, power distribution, and control systems is criticale
Excellent knowledge of the SERIP process and experience in the implementation at Level 1
In depth understanding of Management Of Change (MOC) and compliance
Experience in Process Control Systems - Yokogawa DCS Centum 3000 Process Control Systems (Marine, Topside, subsea). Allen Bradley PLCs on various equipment types including GE / DR Turbomachinery - Generators and Compressors.
Experience with Power generation and distribution systems to 11KV. Knowledge of Power Management System (PMS) is critical
Equipment health monitoring systems Experience - Bentley Nevada 3500 Racks, System 1 – Condition Monitoring & HMI. CCC Reliant Series 5 Anti Surge Protection / Control system on compressors
Fire detection and Suppression systems Experience - Autronica Fire and Gas Monitoring System, Vesda Gas Detection System, Line of Sight Fire Detection System, Detronix Fire Monitoring System
Industrial Networks Experience - Modbus RS232, RS485 & TCP/IP, ControlNet, Profibus, VNET, Foundation Fieldbus, Ethernet, OPC, ICSTriplex TMR Trusted Safety System - hardware, maintenance & diagnostics
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Enervista Software for communication between Relays and PMS. Rockwell ControlLogix RSLogix 5000 – (Ladder Logic Prog; Project Dev.), ICS Triplex Systems( Software / Hardware Architecture), MS word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, JD Edwards EAM.
Also Offshore / Onshore Redundant Exaquantum Server, Data Historian, Exa OPC Servers, Matrikon OPC Servers, Plant Resource Manager Server, Subsea Triconix PLC integration with ESS ICS Triplex PLC, Gemstarts communicating with PMS on Modbus, Rockwell Power Management System (PMS). IP Compliance and network security knowledge are also preferred
