Job description
MAIN ACTIVITIES :
Preparation of Contract Documents
Preparation and Bills of Quantities
Preparation of the technical evaluations up to the final recommendation on subcontract packages
Assistance with commercial and contractual evaluations up to the final recommendation
Agreement of valuations, variations and final accounts.
Liaise with Planning and Scheduling Engineer in order to anticipate variations within contract and their implementation.
To provide the Subcontract management and production leadership for a work packages within large project.
Manage and Supervise direct subordinates
Contribute to the achievement of Client Upgrade Safety Targets and Zero tolerance of unsafe working practices and occurrences
To work with the planning team to develop detailed and accurate short term programmes of work
To provide accurate and timely reporting of progress against the plan. Maintain a daily Diary / Report. To monitor external changes to work plans and report the effect of change
To plan the programming of day to day resource requirement and communicate these to the construction team
To interface with other Site Superintendents to share best practice and ensure effective resource utilization
To lead section meetings and review progress in productivity, design and achievement of commercial requirements
Control Contractors’ achievements in accordance with contractual requirements in areas such as safety, environmental protection, technical requirements, planning, production etc…
Make necessary co-ordination and arbitration between different disciplines.
Assist with progress measurement and weekly and monthly progress measurement statements.
Liaise and support Vendor / Contractor representative during Pre-commissioning and Commissioning phase.
Manage a large national workforce and communities.
Attend Project Meetings

Job requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND
Significant experience as a Senior Inspector and Team Leader.
Minimum of 10 years as a either QC Inspector on Onshore gas Pipeline Construction.
Qualifications in welding inspection, coating, painting. Qualifications in UT, RT, MPI and DP considered a plus.
Qualifications in Health, Safety or Environmental will be considered as a plus.
Extensive experience of piping, welding, hydrostatic testing and pre- commissioning processes required.
Knowledge of Instrumentation, electrical, mechanical and rotating equipment required.
