Job Description:
· To support the CsP in all Risk & Quality matters. · To be responsible for the development and management of all matters relevant to R&Q within the firm. This includes all processes and procedures relating to Independence and Ethics & Business Conduct · To develop and maintain a repository of information for risk management methodology and best practice. · To develop a risk management strategy for the firm and recommend annual objectives. · To maintain an Enterprise-wide risk register for the firm and ensure there is an effective process in place for assessing, responding, monitoring, reviewing, and reporting key business risks to the management team. · To develop an annual action plan for the Network Risk Management Standards (NRMS), monitor progress and ensure timely action is taken to address these. · To monitor compliance with the NRMS by carrying out regular compliance reviews · To produce monthly R&Q progress reports for the Country Management Team (CMT) · To produce quarterly reports for Africa Central x-LoS Risk & Quality on R&Q activities in country, compliance results and issues. · To provide the CsP the needed comfort to satisfactorily sign off all applicable RMS at the year end. · To ensure that developments in R&Q are communicated in-country. · To be an effective member of the AC x-LoS R&Q team by participating in month conference calls, annual inter-country compliance testing and training. · To coordinate country LoS R&Q teams and monitor compliance with LoS Risk Management Standards. · To populate the RSAM (global annual self-assessment tool) with accurate meaningful responses, on behalf of the CsP within agreed timescales. · To ensure the Global Independence Policy is tailored for any local requirements and is communicated to all partners and staff on a regular basis. · To ensure any tailoring of the Global Independence Policy is documented on the Africa page of the Global Independence Portal. · To ensure the firm has fully implemented all processes in accordance with the Global Independence Compliance programme. · To ensure the firm has adequate training and communication programme in place to enable partners and staff to be sufficiently aware of Independence issues and developments. · To facilitate and roll-out globally mandated independence training locally. · To ensure that all new joiners are briefed on the firms Independence requirements. · To review and monitor the Global Portfolio System (GPS) on a quarterly basis to ensure it is maintained current by partners and staff. · To monitor Central Entity Service on a quarterly basis to ensure it is updated in a timely manner by Assurance teams. · To facilitate the Global Independence Compliance Testing and annual review in accordance with Global/Regional instructions. · To ensure the Annual Compliance Confirmation is carried out on a timely basis in accordance with Global/Regional instructions and any exceptions are reported to both the country Partner Responsible for Independence (PRI) and escalated to AC PRI if required. · To develop processes to avoid the firm entering into business and investment relationships that violates PwC Independence policies. · To maintain and control input to the firms Business Continuity Plan in a timely manner and ensure it meets the requirements of the business. · To ensure the firm has adequate training and communication in place to enable partners and staff to be sufficiently aware of Business Continuity Management issues. · To manage adhoc projects as required.

Qualification Level: BSc Class Of Degree: 2nd Class (Upper Division)
Experience Required: 5 - 10 Years
Competencies / Skills:
The jobholder must have strong business insight and good customer relationship skills. As well as the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers, the jobholder must have strong risk awareness. Strong project management skills and the ability to think/act strategically are vital. Good communication, influencing and negotiation skills are essential. The jobholder will be required to make decisions, and produce reports on complex issues. The ability to exploit IT systems and to develop effective information networks and management information is a requirement. The jobholder should have good conflict management skills and should demonstrate the ability to lead by example, manage, motivate and develop staff. In any event, the jobholder needs several years experience in a related business environment to undertake this role.
